Milestones
Want to have a peak in our group’s milestones?
November 2022
After trainings in the SHAPE Project, we have started a Participatory Action Research (PAR) process to find out how the lack of information impact the integration of migrants in Hungary. We held meetings every Wednesday for a whole year.

February 2023
We became very close together during the months and we also celebrated the birth of a baby of one of our members

April 2023
We visited other European countries to learn about their good practices connected to the integration and participation of migrants. Our first stop was Portugal: in Porto we visited a „one-window shop” information center for migrants and learnt about what the Muncipality of Lousada do to support migrants

May 2023
Our second stop was Italy: We visited the municipalities in Milan and Bologna and learnt that both cities have information sources for migrants, in Milan they provide a map with services and in Bologna they created a website to make newcommers feel „Bolognese from the first day”.

May 2023
Our third stop was Germany: In the historic city of Esslingen we learnt more about the political participation of migrants and in Stuttgart we discovered a Welcome Center and Website with an aim to provide information to migrants. Our study visit experiences inspired us to create this information website for foreigners living in Hungary to provide useful information about services and every day life in Hungary.

December 2023
We ended our project with a big conference in Hungary where we introduced our research findings to the municipalities and other stakeholders and launched our information website called Navigate Hungary.
