International Organizations

International organizations to support migrants have local offices worldwide.

1. Jesuit Refugee Service Hungary

Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) is an international non-governmental organization with a mission to accompany, serve, and advocate for the rights of refugees and forcibly displaced people.

In Hungary, JRS focuses on promoting social and educational inclusion for individuals receiving international protection in the country. They collaborate closely with schools to support the school inclusion process for refugee children, emphasizing Hungarian language learning through weekly classes and educational materials. Additionally, JRS Hungary runs the CHANGE project, offering in-class activities and workshops for high-school students, provides support for unaccompanied minors in Fót's reception facility, and facilitates housing for refugee families and youth committed to their studies, fostering community-based programs in partnership with local parishes.
