Budapest is getting more and more pricey, however there are still some ways to save money and eat cheap in the city
To eat cheap you can look for daily menus of one of the “Kifőzde”s. Daily menus usually consists of a soup and a main dish and costs around 1300-2500 Ft. Eating street food like lángos can be a cheap option and the Chinese and Turkish restaurants offer some of the cheapest dishes in Budapest.
You can also try the Munch application with which you can save food (and money!). Restaurants offer food that they can’t sell during the day in a discounted price. You can book it during the day and pic it up in the evening.
