There is no Hungarian language learning initiative supported or provided by the Hungarian Government or Hungarian authorities. Some non-profit organizations provide free language courses for foreigners.
Mira Intercultural Community by Artemisszió Foundation:
Mira continuously organizes Hungarian language classes for foreigners by volunteer teachers. The frames of the classes:
Classes are organized in semesters usually between September and January and February and June. start on 18th September, the 1st semester ends on 26th January. After completing a semester there might be a possibility to continue classes if there is a suitable class for your level.
Classes are held on weekdays by volunteer teachers (usually afternoons but there are some morning classes too)
Commitment means participating in classes every week for 1.5 hours in Mira Ház plus doing homework
For successful completion of the semester, you will need to participate in 80% of the classes. You will be awarded with a certificate.
