It is possible to terminate the employment with immediate notice and without giving any reasons by the employer and the employee during the probation period.
Fixed term employment: The employer can terminate the fixed term employment with immediate notice if the employee violates an essential obligation arising from an employment relationship to a significant extent intentionally or through gross negligence. The employee can only terminate a fixed term contract by providing a valid reason why he/she can’t continue the work.
Permanent employment: if not agreed otherwise, the termination period is 30 days. It is possible to agree on a longer, a maximum of 6 months notice period in the employment contract.
